Forums have been hugely popular since the advent of the Internet. You can find a forum that covers just about any subject or hobby you can think of. So why join this one?
I am a collision repair professional and know the difficulties of the industry. I am a body man at the largest and busiest shop in town (population 35,000). I attended Universal Technical Institute in 2002-2003 after realizing vocational training in my high school just wasn't enough. I have traveled down the information pipeline thousands of times only to be forced to sift through all the BS answers and sales pitches that the "shop heads" would answer with. So many times I was given incorrect procedures by guys who did not want to help or train a young technician. That was the time the idea for a collision professionals forum was born. If I could have had access to such a place it may have saved me from a lot of my frustrations. Here in our new forum we want to do just that, help technicians with questions or just connect with technicians whom are more like minded to us as opposed to what is available in the industry today.
We can expect a lot of change inside of the collision industry over the next 30 years, ranging from vehicle technology to the vary processes we use to stream line the body shop. When these changes begin to happen and the reigns are handed over to our generation; this forum, websites and organizations like minded of each other is where the changes and ideas will come from. We as the new generation of collision technicians need to ready ourselves for the beaten and broken body shop processes that we will be handed. Join us here and now to collaborate and build the industry to match the world today and propel our shops out of yesterday's outdated way of thinking.
Please take a moment and answer our poll question.
I hope you will join us and become a part of the future.
